Hi Mike – gosh … not long ago … 130 years … times have changed. Cheers Hilary
And more change has been in our lifetime than in the years before we were born.
130 years, that would have been my paternal grandmother’s time. Daddy came from County Clare, one county south of Galway, at the mouth of the River Shannon. The style of dress is correct for that time, I should have somewhere, a photo of an earlier generation in similar clothes.
Thanks for the info. I thought the color on this was amazing. I am fascinated by color images from times before true color photography was commercially impractical.
