Power

While I was sitting at my computer very early this morning, just after midnight, there was quite a display of the power of nature going on outside my window. Very obviously we were in the middle of a severe thunderstorm and I was going to check online to see if it was anything worse, when an electrical sounding buzz came from the speaker, the lights flared up, and the power went off, flickered on as the system restored what it could through selective switching, and then, finally, went completely off.

Turns out several trees half way between our house and town were blown down across the highway, taking the power line down with them.

Power came back on some time this morning before noon. I’ll have to wait until I get home to see if I lost anything on the computer from the power outage.
