Karen’s Apple Pie – with Recipe!

Saturday, Karen baked an apple pie with apples just picked from the tree – a tree in our daughter Jessica’s back yard near Madison, Wisconsin!
Jessica is turning into quite the blogger. Her blog, All She Cooks, is mostly a foodie blog, but she also writes about a lot of other things.
I wasn’t surprised at all that, after Karen and I had gone back to the camper, Jessica wrote a post about the pie and more: “Apple Pie is a great comfort food, and I need that right now. A little bit of comfort, and hey… if it comes in the form of my Mom’s Apple Pie, all the better.”

We are heading home from our visit early.
