We’re way down in Utah now. We’ve had some cold nights… and one hot and muggy night where it was difficult to sleep. We saw wonderful fall colors today — it’s autumn everywhere on our route so far, though one high altitude area was in late autumn: almost all the trees were bare of leaves. Last night’s stop had tons of ripe apples, free for guests, and Karen collected enough that she’s planning a dutch oven cooked apple pie.
