Gus gives some Tips on Trailers

By MARTIN BUNN (Popular Science, December 1936)

"There's my idea of a real outfit," Gus said, pulling open the door of a handsome trailer.

THAT’S one fad that won’t last long!” Nate Pendleton remarked derisively, as his eyes followed a trim, streamline motor trailer skimming smoothly down the road behind a smart new sedan.

Gosh how those trailers have changed. I wonder what old Gus would think of a camper van like yours?

They certainly have. But, then, a lot of things have changed since 1936. There are "modern" trailers that aren't that terribly different than Gus's, especially when you think of how different the average automobile is from those of 1936.

This Trailer phenomenon is primarily an American one. You have the space to build trailer parks and provide facilities just like the many marinas in your coastal areas. I have serious doubts that we will ever get to see them popular here!
