Hi Mike – presumably was a big house …
We have hopi candles – is there a connection .. I don’t know anything about the candles .. but the name rings a bell.

It was much larger, of course at one time. The remnant is still quite impressive. We actually visited it and another nearby ruin last Sunday. It was a much warmer day than when we visited 4 years ago.
I looked up the hopi candles. Apparently it has something to do with ear candling, which supposed to be a very dangerous practice with no benefits. It’s supposed origin from the Hopi Indian tribe is also false, apparently.
