It’s always nice to get a good review. I literally stumbled upon one yesterday.
Civil War Interactive has a new section, called on civil war blogs, called Blogging the Civil War – A comprehensive guide to Civil War blogs. In it, it says the following about my civil war blog, Chronicles of the American Civil War
This is a “This Day in the War” blog with a twist: it is a This Day with the words of Those Days, as they were reported on that day then. Sitemaster Mike–a modest fellow who doesn’t even give us a personal profile; we know his right name because we are CWi and know everything, but if he doesn’t want to dish, we won’t either–takes contemporaneous reports from several unusual places and gives us real “News As It Happens” features, sometimes several a day. From the New York Herald to the Charleston Mercury to a book called A Rebel War Clerk’s Diary, you almost want to look down in the corner of the screen for the CNN logo as you read. A terrific day-starter, or evening-ender, or check it whenever is convenient, but don’t miss this one.”
