Oh my, Mike. These are astounding! The view and the colours. How did you mange this? So many times when I’m out and about I take what I think are great shots, only to be disappointed by the colours. It’s not easy to capture it.

Davina – I use a Pentax K10D. It’s a 3 1/2 year old digital single lens reflex, kind of like the old 35mm cameras, except you don’t have to load film.

I just started using a polarizing filter. It can limit reflection and enhance colors.

I use the free demo of autostitch to create composites of multiple images. I’ve been using it for about 5 or 6 years. It was developed by grad students at the University of Vancouver and is now in several commercial applications.

I post-process almost all images before I publish them using Corel Paintshop Pro’s “smart photo fix” function and then tweak them ever so slightly.
