When we visited Grand Teton National Park in 2007, a new visitor center at Moose had just opened. Some of the interesting exhibits included the in-floor video displays.
This video is from July 2010.
Video segments included water flow with bubbles, seen under ice, a flowing stream, wildflowers, wildlife and more.
It is a little strange to be walking through exhibits with a video playing under your feet.

I think I would find that kind of weird.
It was weird, but interesting the first time. It’s a neat concept for special applications, I think.

Mike,
That is kind of strange, but interesting. The Buffalo might have been a bit intimidating:~)
Thanks for sharing this!
It was strange, but a cool techno-twist for a visitor center on the edge of the wilderness.
The buffalo on the flow is no where near as intimidating as a buffalo in the flesh — more on that in later posts.

I can not do escalators…I wonder if I could walk on this kind of flooring? Interesting for me to ponder?
My guess would be, probably not.
I walked on the panels just because they were there. It was a tad unnerving because it just didn’t seem natural. That would be different, I think, if they were more widespread. However, I doubt if that will ever happen. I hate to think what the upkeep of something like this would be in an urban, high pedestrian traffic setting.
