Clouds in the late afternoon and at sunset near and at Kingsley Dam and Lakes McConaughy and Ogallala in western Nebraska.
The “specks” in some of the pictures are not flaws in the images. They are swallows flying around.

Gorgeous! My grade 7 geography class studied different types of clouds. We had to do a project and I got carried away. Just the whole idea behind how different clouds form and what each one is “supposed” to mean when it appears. One cloud I’ve yet to see is a funnel cloud
I have to say… those are awfully big swallows.
Thanks! While I’ve not actually seen a funnel cloud, we’ve been terribly close when they’ve gone by.
The swallows were flying relatively close to us on our walk along the lake and, even though I was taking pictures of more distant objects, ended up in the photos.
