While I haven’t blogged about it for a while, I read material related to global warming climate change every day, so it was with great interest yesterday morning that I read of the release of allegedly stolen anthropogenic global warming climate change correspondence.

I had woken early for some reason and was unable to get back to sleep.  By 4:30, I was up and checking email, blogs and the news-feeds that I subscribe to.

A little over an hour later, I was downloading the files.

It’s going to be interesting to see where this is going to end up.  Articles are already appearing in the mainstream media.

See new article: Climategate update.

That’s weird Mike. I woke up early cos of all the rain we’re having and that was the first thing I read(I live close to the places in the UK that are having bad flooding right now).

It will be interesting to see what happens.

Hi Mike – Sunlight will be the best disinfectant for this moldy mess. Too bad it’s too late to prevent the likes of Al Gore from obscenely profiting on these lies.

No matter what the pundits argue about, something not nice is happening in my backyard. Delayed and subnormal monsoon, unseasonal and flood causing excess rains, a cyclone, delayed onset of winter, fruit crops failing and so on so forth. Prolonged summer and forest fires, unknown in India so far, have happened. I wish that someone would give some explanation for all this happening not only in my backyard but all over the world.

Seems this is a business of its own: Writing and selling fear about climate change. I hardly know who or what to believe anymore. I’m trusting the media less and less; they like to make mountains out of molehills and stretch the truth to increase the drama. Just like the H1N1 issue… more people die of the regular flu. I see weather patterns changing, that is obvious, but there are just too many people spawning articles and writing, writing, writing… putting the newest and latest spin on climate change.

Mike , when you finish reading would you consider writing a summary of it all for the Bull Shoals Beacon?

Also, recently read a 2004 book by Michael Chrichton (State of Fear) that is an interesting essay (in the form of a novel) on climate change and the debate over global warming. It was provocative and gave cause for some examination about my own way of considering commonly held views.

Thanks, all, for stopping by and commenting!

While this is turning out to be very interesting, I don’t have the time or inclination to wade through all of these e-mails. Others who have more motivation are doing a wonderful job of it.

I have a new update post related to it at: Climategate update.

Oneida – I’m quite familiar with the book. I had read it several years ago and, early last year, when I was really starting to question things, I went searching for it and read it again.
