    Hi Mike – they look nasty – but love the photo with the cobwebs. We had the devil’s thorn – which came from a low-growing weedy-shrub like plant – it could tolerate drought. I got one in one of my shoes – just glad it wasn’t my foot … really angry thorns! Cheers Hilary

      They do look nasty. We’ve only seen them in one location, but, apparently, they grow in a wide range of the eastern part of the US. I guess we live near the western end of that range.
