Wednesday Weigh-In and another new look

Started November 1, 2008 at 285.6 lbs

Last week = 276 lbs.

This week = 275.5 lbs.

After 2 weeks of slow gains, I’m down 1/2 lb. Until the end of the weekend, I was still feeling some of the effects of whatever virus I had and I was thinking that I might have to make another doctor appointment as he had said to come back in two weeks if I was still having problems.  I did manage to get 4 workouts in, though not at the intensity and length that I would like to be at.

For, those who stop here once in a while, you might notice that , once again, I’m in the middle of making a few changes in the blog. Thanks to Eric Ham of Motivate Thyself and and Sean Platt of Writer Dad in their joint effort, BlogopolisBlueprint, I made the decision earlier this week to go with a premium blog theme. I’ll be experiementing a bit with it for a while, so there will be some changes. However, I’ll try hard to make it so that Exit78 remains fully functional while I’m playing.

I, for one, am enjoying the experiment of themes. I’m excited to see what Flexx can do 🙂

It’s tough to loose weight with a cold isn’t it? Good for you even getting 4 workouts in! Super job!

  • Eric Hamm Feb 4, 2009

Hey Mike, looking good! I really like it so far. What are your first impressions on Flexx? Hype or high five? Eric

Playing with a blog’s design is so much fun. Design is one of my favorite parts of blogging. I just wish I could do more of it by myself.

Hey Mike. You’re down 10 lbs since you started. That’s great! I quite like the new look of your blog. What font did you use for Exit78?

Ryan – Yes, Flexx is pretty cool. It’s not as magic as I was hoping, but it has capabilities that are much better than the free stuff.

Avlor – Thanks! Yes, it IS tough to do almost anything when you’re not feeling good.

Eric – Thanks! Like, I said to Ryan, I was hoping for more, but I’m realistic and am happy with what I got. I’ll be able to do far more with this than I was able to do with the free stuff.

Vered – Yes, it fun, but I like to do design from a plug and play perspective rather than getting into the style sheets or php.

Davina – Thanks and thanks! The font is Snap ITC. I just browsed my fonts until I found the first one I liked. It worked. 😉

Hip Hurrah down .5 a pound – nice job.
I like all your creative efforts and the blog looks good. I am still attempting to get my new email set up. I am now only working on it about 2 hours a day and 3 phone calls to customer support…absolutely no ability here at all.

Losing weight with a cold is quite a feat!

Patricia – Thanks! I’m just glad it’s past, though I was about ready to see the doctor about it. I don’t know that it was really a cold. I was just light-headed verging on a headache, but not quite, with a little nasal stuffiness, but not clogged. It was really strange, probably a virus, but I was starting to get a little concerned.

Hey, Mike. Looking good! That’s funny about not being as magic as you were expecting. I totally know what you mean. I’ve been waiting for the new version of Thesis for what’s felt like forever. I was actually giddy when I heard it was coming out in a couple of days. Then when I downloaded it, all I felt was, “meh.”

Thanks for such great support, always, and congratulations on your weight reduction. At least one of us is going in the right direction.

Well, I’m loving it! The rotating photo header is awesome! Oh, and congrats on another 1/2 pound! Slowly but surely!

  • Rose Feb 7, 2009

It’s not always easy to loose weight. Congrats on another 1/2 pound.
