This time of year, resolutions are very popular.

A new year is coming, so it’s time for making changes.

I’m just going to say “No!”

“No!” to New Year’s resolutions.

They’re not for me.

They don’t work for me.

Or I guess I should say, I don’t work for them.

I don’t follow through, generally, on resolutions, so why make resolutions only to disappoint myself later?

That’s not to say that I can’t make plans or set goals. I’m already well on the way, but these are not things I’m doing for the new year.

One of the things I’m doing is setting things up so that I can concentrate on some of the things I want to be doing. I pre-published posts for January, February, and March for Daily Chronicles of the American Civil War and for Anecdotes & Images. I’m working on doing that for my photo blog as well, which, sad to say, has been suffering for want of posting since the last part of November. The intent of this pre-loading of posts is to give me room so I can concentrate on the part of my on-line material that is actually making us some money.

I’m also back to the fitness center after our two trips this month. I’ve got 2 days under my belt. My goal is to maintain the level of attendance and increase the level of intensity so that I can make good strides in weight loss and fitness.

I’ll be refocusing also on working on the shop and on the house. There may actually be less traveling in the coming year so that we can make good progress on all that needs to be done. We will be making a trip to Wisconsin sometime in the summer for at least a month.

But… no New Year’s resolutions… not for me.
