Hi Mike - you’ve written a lot of posts while I’ve been unwell. That is an awesome picture. Other pics of Mount Rushmore are usually of the faces but I love the way you’ve captured it beyond the trees. It looks really pretty. And for people like me, who haven’t been there - it gives a better idea of what the surrounding area actually looks like.

Ooooh, that’s a nice shot. Would be better if that car wasn’t in the way, but sometimes you just have to deal with the shot you’re dealt!

Dan, I actually timed that shot for when the car was in the image as it is as much about the scenic drive as it is about the scenery that can be scene. It was intended for a possible future web page on Iron Mountain Road and/or Custer State Park in South Dakota.
