Debo – Yes it is quite hot when it exits the fissure. There is quite a distance from the geyser to the viewing areas, so in most instances it doesn't rain down on the spectators. However, if there is enough wind I suppose that it could, but I'm certain that it would have cooled down to the point that, at most, it would be a warm "rain."
