Social Security Tattoo of Unemployed lumber worker

A public records search shows that 535-07-5248 belonged to one Thomas Cave, born July 1912, died in 1980 in Portland. Which would make him 27 years old when this picture was taken.1

    Hi Mike – handsome couple and they’ve dressed for the photo – yet his wife is kept back … he is certainly muscle-bound … wonderful image – cheers Hilary

      Muscle bound from hard labor, I believe. Lumberjack work is hard work even today. My nephew, Andy, is a lumberjack in Oregon and he is certainly in great shape from the pictures I’ve seen.
