When I just saw the eyes, I thought it was a much older person. Very sad to be forced to age that fast.

These eyes say "J'accuse!" don't they. They should spark a call to service in everyone. This has been an exquisite series, Mike.

  • And they still have the nerve to say we are passing through the worst crisis in history.

Wow what a picture and what those eyes are saying…and my children are just starting to remember things their grandparents lived through and yet they are not knowing the pinch yet.

    Thank you amazing series…

I do hope things do not get as bad as the 1930's. That depression required a world war to overcome it. As for "recession", "deep Recession" and "Depression"; what do any of them mean? My opinion is that they all mean "The rich are getting richer and the poor are starving!" (There will be a post on the archive which may amuse you – it will appear in about 7.5 hours)

I too am sick of the comparisons to 2008/9 to the 1930s. I hope things improved for that poor child.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and to those commenting on this. Each comment, I think, adds a little bit to this, different perspectives and perceptions.

Rather than reply to each comment, I'm just going to let each stand on it's own virtue.

Thanks, again for visiting and commenting. I'll be adding more to this series and hope that you will drop by to view the additions and, if you have something to say, that you contribute a comment.

Wow – I thought it was an older person too! Yikes. Sad to see someone who had to become so wise before their time.
