I was told that a lot of the South Carolina rich and powerful have beach homes on Isle of Palms, which has pretty much kept it from being an over-developed touristy place. The beaches there and on neighboring Sullivan Island were not at all crowded. In fact, on Sullivan Island, the beach was virtually deserted except for us and a few other people.

Wow! I would say they look like the little gingerbread houses on Martha’s Vineyard as to the colors, but these look more like huge mansions!
